PEF - Specifications

Phidelix offers licensing of its PEF frameworks and will provide customer designed Paper Equivalent Forms and related supporting services to organizations desiring to replace paper record systems in a compliant manner. Companies will be able to take advantage of the existing frameworks for data input, substantially reducing the "discomfort level" in converting to electronic forms. Paper Equivalent Forms are electronic forms supporting a high level of security and authenticity by means of robust software architecture and a state-of-the-art software design featuring:

  • Automatic audit trails for every form field including graphical user interface controls such as pull-down menus, check boxes, radio buttons and other complex custom-designed controls.

  • Support for touch screen displays and portable devices.

  • Seamless back-office integration through the use of any major third party relational database system such as MS SQL Server, MySQL or Oracle.

  • Powerful and flexible validation layer that virtually eliminates the possibility of data entry and the need of error-prone numerical calculation.

  • Business intelligence layer capable of automating complex business, technical, or authority rules often implemented via error-prone manual calculations or made by individuals without the proper authority level or where the data reflects some “high level” of risk begging for additional oversight.

  • Component-based software architecture combining the full strength of a fully programmable framework with the ease of a graphical software development environment.

  • Supports low-cost electronic form design and programming, thus creating an opportunity for high margins.

  • Fine-grained cryptographic certification of all data modifications preventing unnoticed or unauthorized changes to data.

  • A dual server architecture that permits autonomous administration of the untrusted database server while supporting security and data trust through a cryptographic secondary trusted server.

  • A distributed transactional protocol guaranteeing integrity of both PEF data servers even across unexpected system failures.

  • A fully automatic auditing process to detect uncertified modification to data at the push of a button.

  • Both servers and client compatible with most major operating systems platforms: Linux, Windows and Mac OS.
